TWEETERS & REPLACEMENT DIAPHRAGMS

Tweeters are typically smaller speakers that are only meant to produce the higher frequencies in a sound system. This includes the higher end of the vocals or other high pitched notes from the accompanying instruments in a given song. Some of the pro-audio variety have replacement diaphragms available that allow you to repair the tweeters at a lower cost than replacing them, should you ever run into the issue of blowing them.

DRIVERS & REPLACEMENT DIAPHRAGMS

Drivers, also know as horns, are usually meant for the outside of the vehicle since they are designed to be loud enough to cross distances. They can function similarly to tweeters and mid-range speakers in regards to the frequencies they produce but are not at all designed to produce bass notes. Drivers are one of the few products without any warranty available via MCA Car Audio or the official manufacturer due to how easily they are damaged by improper installation/use and the fact that they can be repaired using readily-available replacement diaphragms. The replacement diaphragms allow you to repair the drivers at a lower cost than replacing them, should you ever run into the issue of blowing them.
